Our Pottermore Guide Survey

We are currently hard-at-work writing our guide to the first Pottermore experience, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. It will include in-depth outlines to every moment. The guide will give the locations to collectible objects, how to unlock JK Rowling’s new content, lists from-the-story descriptions and interactive experiences.

The guide is at an astounding 82 pages, and the current version is only a draft. We would like to reduce the number of pages. By doing this, we would take out some unnecessary content. Though, what is unnecessary to us may be needed by you, the reader. For this reason, we have written up a survey that we would like you to complete. The survey will help us decide on what to take out, keep in, and with further revisions.

No matter what happens, the guide will be released online on February 20, 2012 where it will be downloadable at the respective places. Please take the time to take the survey, as it will be very helpful for us and other readers.

If you cannot take the survey for any reason, you can always share with us your thoughts on here, Twitter, Facebook, Google+, or you can email us.

PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO COMPLETE THE GUIDE. CLICK HERE TO START.

Thanks so much for your help!

Pottermore Insider addresses changes in new update

The Pottermore Insider updated today with a post on their beta updates page.

In the post, they address the new changes to Potions and about making Pottermore better.

Following the feedback you gave us in the Pottermore Beta survey, we’ve shortened brewing times and tweaked cauldron speeds to make brewing potions even more fun.

Looks like taking the survey really paid off! At least we know they are taking what we said in the survey into consideration.

They continued on and again asked for users to log in to Pottermore and use the features. They also stated that are monitoring the site and will be making “further changes” as the Beta continues. Though, there was no mention of Wizard Dueling at all! Shocked? We are!

Happy Friday!

Take the Pottermore’s reading survey

Pottermore has released another survey today. In a post on the Pottermore Insider, they explained that they released this survey to help them with the Pottermore Shop that will open soon. The questions were mainly about eBooks, eReaders and Harry Potter. You can take the survey here. We have listed all of the questions below.

Besides from the general questions (age, country, etc.), the survey’s question include:

Which of the Harry Potter books have you read?

Which is your favourite?

Which do you own a printed copy of?

Do you read eBooks?

On what devices do you read eBooks?

Where do you buy the eBooks from?

When the Harry Potter books are available as eBooks, how interested will you be to buy them?

Which Harry Potter books are you interested in buying?

Why will you buy the Harry Potter ebooks?

When the Harry Potter books are available as eBooks, how interested will you be to buy them as a gift?

Which Harry Potter eBooks are you interested in buying as a gift?

When the Harry Potter digital audio books are available as downloads, how interested will you be to buy them?

Which other Harry Potter products have you purchased?

Pottermore Site Online

In a post on the Pottermore Insider, Pottermore is now back online after a three day maintenance window.

The updates we’ve made over the past few days have mainly involved replacing hardware, so while you won’t see any obvious changes on the site itself, there has been a lot of work undertaken to help make the site run more smoothly.

Also in the post, it was explained that the Pottermore beta survey will be taken down on November 7, 2011. If you haven’t completed it yet, you can here.

Happy November!

Pottermore Beta Period Extended (AGAIN!)

The Pottermore Insider was updated yesterday with a new post saying that the beta period will be extended. They explained that they will be taking this time to make Pottermore even better using all of the user feedback and beta survey results. The post also announced that the Pottermore site will be down for a few days on November 2 to make some “exciting” changes. What do you think they mean? Comment!

Also in the post, they revealed a new page where you can get all the latest information for the beta period. No note on when Pottermore will be open to everyone. It looks like you may have to wait a little longer.

P.S sorry this is delayed!
