Universal Orlando announced the expansion of the WWoHP on Monday, May 8. The expansion will include the Hogwarts Express, Diagon Alley and a London-themed area. In the area visitors will be able to ride a Gringotts ride, eat at a Harry Potter themed restaurant (reportedly The Leaky Cauldron) and explore the shops of Diagon Alley. WHY WOULD SOMEONE MAKE THIS!
I sometimes think of this day. And I dread it. But really, Why would someone even go there?
So… We have a little bit of big news today! The title, synopsis and release date of J.K. Rowling’s new book were announced! Check it out:
Title: The Casual Vacancy
Synopsis:
When Barry Fairweather dies unexpectedly in his early forties, the little town of Pagford is left in shock.
Pagford is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey, but what lies behind the pretty façade is a town at war.
Rich at war with poor, teenagers at war with their parents, wives at war with their husbands, teachers at war with their pupils…Pagford is not what it first seems.
And the empty seat left by Barry on the town’s council soon becomes the catalyst for the biggest war the town has yet seen. Who will triumph in an election fraught with passion, duplicity and unexpected revelations?
Blackly comic, thought-provoking and constantly surprising, The Casual Vacancy is J.K. Rowling’s first novel for adults.
Release Date: September 27, 2012
Pages: approx.. 480 pages
Editions: Hardcover, e-book and audiobook
The synopsis didn’t surprise a lot of people, as many theorized that it would be a mystery novel. What do you think about the synopsis? It would be interesting to note that this book will be the shortest she has written in over 10 years. We’re glad to see she’s going lean and green!
