Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
I saw this on Facebook, at the page Albus Dumbledore can’t die as long as people still loyal to him, and I had to share.
Harry went to J.K. Rowling’s Deathly Hallows book signing, heavily disguised. He kept his emerald eyes, however. “So, are you a big fan, then?” Rowling asked him as she signed his copy, assuming he was just any old boy. “I’m a huge fan.” Harry said, staring fixedly at her. She looked up, and fell headlong into his eyes. He smiled, knowing that she knew who he really was, and left.
Because its real of us <3 ⚡
A cool thing we found on Facebook. Courtesy of the “‘So after that obvious and disgusting bit of cheating’” - Lee Jordan” Facebook page.
I promise to remember Harry,
Each time I see lightning.
And I promise to remember Ron,
When I see red hair that’s blinding.
I promise to obey school rules,
For Hermione’s sake, of course.
And I promise to remember Malfoy,
When my heart fills with remorse.
I promise to remember Ginny,
Whenever I see an adoring fan.
And I promise to remember Neville,
When someone feels “no” but they say, “I can.”
I promise to remember Luna,
Whenever I see the moon.
And I promise to remember Fred and George,
When I see someone acting like a loon.
I promise to remember Dumbledore,
When I see someone with long, grey hair.
And I promise to remember Molly,
When someone tells me they care.
I promise to remember Tom Riddle,
Whenever I am scared.
And I promise to remember Hedwig,
When someone says “Always with you till end.”
Yes I promise to love Harry Potter,
Wherever I may go,
So that all may see my obsession,
Because I know what the Potter fans know.
As it is another boring Tuesday, we thought we would lighten it up by giving an update about - you guessed it - US!
First off, we have a new poll up! It’s our first-ever, so we wanted to start with a fun question (fun as in we need an answer): When will Pottermore open? You can answer the poll with one of our four answers here. We are anxious to see the feedback!
Secondly, we wanted to give an update about our Facebook page. Starting today, we are changing how we use our Facebook page and Tumblr. Our Facebook page will be the exclusive place to read news stories on Pottermore not published on our site. Some of the stories have the same idea as others, so we thought it wouldn’t be useful to post something of the same gist. We will only be posting these stories on our Facebook page, no other place but there.
Hypable.com’s Andrew Sims has posted an open letter to the new CEO of Pottermore, Charlie Redmayne. In the letter, Sims expresses concerns and suggestions for the site. These suggestions include the showing of real names, the announcement of a better timeline for the Chamber of Secrets release and the infamous sorting process.
Many people agree with him and even added their own suggestions in the comment section. Some things people are saying include adding a wizard’s chess game, adding sound (this has been a MAJOR complaint), trivia games (like Scholastic’s Wizard Challenge), and more backstory.
Read the full letter here at hypable.com! This is truly a MUST READ for all Pottermore users (and future ones too!). What are your suggestions for the site? Tell us in the comment section!
P.S. TELL THE CEO ABOUT THIS!!!!
My High School Journalism has written an interesting opinion article about Pottermore. The journalist explains Pottermore in the article and includes some of the pre-announcement predictions about the site, the interactive experience part of it, and talks about JK Rowling’s thoughts and the new information.
Throughout the article she applauds the features of Pottermore, including galleon-collecting, potion brewing, and the ability to upload fan-art. Further on, she explains the house points and sorting process. She shares opinions about the sorting quiz and the reviews it has gotten. The writer also discusses how members argue about the fairness of the decision.
Then, it gets interesting. She writes some of her opinions on the site, and not all of them are bad. Here is an excerpt of the article:
But what else is there to Pottermore? Is it really just a recap of the books? Well… that question sounds like it’s a negative thing. It is in fact a recap of the books but to depths that are astonishing. There are also illustrations that bring nostalgia to any old Harry Potter fan and awe to any new one. Gorgeous images that have interactive, animated features accompany the lines of the books.
This is an interesting article with funny quirks. You can read this article here.
AND PLEASE….. Share your thoughts about the article in the comments below. Do you agree or disagree?
